Juta Law again sponsored the top Legal Adviser prizes in the prestigious DealMaker Awards announced at a gala banquet in Sandton on Wednesday 19th February 2013 at the Sandton Sun Inter-Continental Hotel. Attorney firms Cliffe Dekker Hofmeyr scooped the award for Legal Adviser of the year by Deal Flow, while Edward Nathan Sonnenbergs won the category for Deal Value.

Entries for the 2013 Ismail Mahomed Law Reform Essay Competition sponsored by Juta Law are open. The competition, which is open to LLB and LLM students at South African universities, is held under the auspices of the SA Law Reform Commission and encourages entrants to explore new ideas relating to law reform in a formal written essay. Prizes valued at over R70 000 will be awarded to the winning essays.
