To commemorate its tenth anniversary the publication is undergoing a makeover and will feature enhancements to meet the evolving information requirements of time-constrained professionals. Legalbrief Africa's lead stories will also in future be available via Twitter.

"Legalbrief Africa exists to build an information and support network for jurists within Africa and to raise worldwide awareness of African legal issues." comments the IBA.

Legalbrief Africa features content distilled from reputable African and international online and print media publications and is presented under headings including Africa Focus, Regional News, Africa International, and Legislation under Review. Probing Africa Analysis pieces each week unpack current issues of interest to the legal fraternity in more depth. All stories link to the original news sources as well as providing frequent supplementary information for readers wishing to access more in-depth coverage.

The circulation of the publication has increased to well over 25 000 subscribers and the focus is on extending the readership amongst women, NGOs and other African civil-society stakeholders.
